As a market leader in the data analytics space my client is seeking a highly skilled SQL Engineer to join their dynamic team and lead the migration of their database systems to cloud, DBaas utilising Postgres, AlloyDB

Role Overview:

As a SQL Engineer specializing in database migration, you will play a critical role in transforming their data infrastructure. Your expertise in PostgreSQL and AlloyDB will be essential as you design, plan, and execute the migration process. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-impact project that will shape the future of their data management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement strategies for migrating databases from Postgres to AlloyDB.Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas.Ensure data integrity, security, and performance throughout the migration process.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address data requirements.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to database migration.Document migration processes and provide training to team members as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an SQL Engineer with a focus on database migration.Strong expertise in both PostgreSQL and AlloyDB.Strong DBaas experienceProficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.Familiarity with database design, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
