We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Specialist to join our dynamic IT Service Delivery team. You will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimisation of a wide array of SAP systems that support critical business functions. You will collaborate closely with IT and business stakeholders to ensure system performance, reliability, and scalability across a complex, multi-technology SAP landscape. The SAP landscape includes technologies such as SAP S/4HANA, ISU (Utilities), CRM, BW/BW/4HANA, BO/DS (Business Objects/Data Services), SRM, PI/PO, Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager, and PPM (Project & Portfolio Management).

Key Responsibilities

You will administer and support over 100 SAP systems serving 5,000+ users across the organisation.

You will deliver BASIS support to internal IT and project teams, ensuring optimal system health and uptime.

You will lead incident management and root cause analysis, including providing out-of-hours support when required.

You will plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, patching, and performance tuning.

You will engage with key stakeholders across IT and the business to align BASIS services with enterprise needs.

You will provide hands-on support for new SAP implementations and continuous improvements.

You will drive process efficiency initiatives within the SAP technical landscape.

You will mentor team members and facilitate knowledge transfer and documentation.

You will contribute to strategic SAP rollouts and ensure compliance with corporate IT governance standards.

You will ensure high levels of security, reliability, and service delivery across the SAP platform.

Essential Skills / Knowledge / Experience

You will have extensive, in-depth hands-on SAP BASIS administration experience.

You will possess strong knowledge across SAP technologies including S/4HANA, ISU, CRM, BW/BW/4HANA, PI/PO, BO/DS, Enterprise Portal, and Solution Manager.

You will have expertise in database platforms including Linux/HANA, DB2, with experience in system performance tuning and optimisation.

You will have a proven track record in SAP installations, upgrades, and support pack implementations.

You will be skilled in SAP monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive issue resolution.

You will have experience with Solution Manager including EWA Reporting, ChaRM, Technical Monitoring, and Root Cause Analysis.

You will have effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.

You will demonstrate a strong teamwork mindset with the capability to operate independently when needed.

Desirable Skills / Knowledge / Experience

You will have exposure to S/4HANA systems, Single-Sign-On configuration (SAML/OAUTH), and SSL certificate management.

You will have experience with SAP integration on Microsoft Azure or hybrid cloud environments.

You will be familiar with agile delivery methodologies or the ITIL framework.

You will hold a third-level qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or have equivalent practical experience).
