Position: Head of IT / IT Manager
Location: South Dublin - 2 to 3 days on site

Salary on offer: 90-100K with excellent bonus, pension, health cover etc

Overview:
A well-established insurance provider, is seeking a seasoned Head of IT to spearhead their IT department. This role is ideal for someone with substantial experience managing IT teams of around 10 members and a background in small to medium-sized organisations.

Responsibilities:
As the Head of IT, you will:

You will lead a team of over 10 IT professionals, ensuring the delivery of top-notch technology services.You will report directly to the Managing Director, playing a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the IT strategy to ensure systems are efficient, secure, and future-ready.You will drive digital transformation initiatives, contributing to the organisation's long-term success.You will ensure the seamless integration and operation of key systems, including the website and ERP.You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify IT needs and develop effective solutions.You will formulate and execute an IT strategy that aligns with the company's mission and objectives.You will manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement processes.You will ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and governance standards.You will oversee IT security, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.You will promote process improvement initiatives and leverage technology to enhance efficiency.You will stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their potential benefits to the organisation.

Qualifications:
You will have:

You will have at least 7 years of experience in a similar role, such as IT Manager or Head of IT.You will have proven experience managing teams of 10 or more members.You will have experience in small to medium-sized businesses.You will have a background in the insurance or financial services sector (highly advantageous).You will have demonstrated success in project management and digital transformation initiatives.You will have a solid understanding of INFOSEC principles.You will have excellent skills in vendor management, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving.You will have knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.You will have awareness of data protection legislation and its impact on IT systems.
