Ansible Platform Engineer
Contract- Fully remote
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading client who is seeking a highly skilled engineer with strong expertise in Ansible to join their dynamic team on a contract basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for automating infrastructure and streamlining configuration management using Ansible across large-scale environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, efficient, and scalable automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules for automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automation workflows, ensuring smooth deployment processes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and development teams to deliver automated solutions in multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
- Maintain and enhance Ansible Tower (AWX) to ensure efficient automation at scale.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues, ensuring high availability of infrastructure and services.
- Document automation processes and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Expertise in developing and managing Ansible Tower or AWX.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration with automation tools.
- Solid background in Linux administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) and infrastructure management.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and multi-cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell.
